On Friday at 4:25 p.m. an updated severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Henderson and Polk counties.

On Friday at 2:55 p.m. the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC issued a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 4 p.m. for Transylvania County.

A storm bearing down over McHenty County Thursday afternoon had rotation associated with it, and a tornado warning is possible.
