Dave Van Horn's team is headed back to Omaha, Nebraska. The road wasn't easy, but the Arkansas Razorbacks have made it look that way with undefeated regional and super regional performances in the span of a couple of weeks.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Benedictine graduate Justin Thomas Jr. is headed to the mecca of college baseball later this week. Thomas and the Arkansas Razorbacks swept Tennessee 4-3 and 11-4 in Super Regionals this weekend, and they’re now one of eight teams to make the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

Arkansas opened a 7-1 lead with a five-run fourth inning. Logan Maxwell hit a grand slam off AJ Russell, the Vols' third pitcher of the inning. The Razorbacks loaded the bases on singles by Cam Kozeal and Reese Robinett, followed by an intentional walk to Charles Davalan to set up a force play.

Vitello praised Arkansas for having possibly the most complete lineup in the SEC. The Aloy brothers, Wehiwa and Kuhio, were held in check, but Arkansas’ 2025 squad still became only the second under Van Horn to sweep its way to Omaha — without any hiccups to the star-studded Volunteers, who boast 6 draft prospects in the top 100 by MLB Pipeline.
