Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) service in much of the East Bay continues to be disrupted Tuesday afternoon, as crews make repairs following a fire near the San Leandro station.

BART service between the Lake Merritt station in Oakland and the Dublin and Berryessa stations was shut down Tuesday morning because of a fire near the San Leandro station

The agency is still trying to determine what caused the fire which shut down three of BART's six transit lines throughout most of Tuesday, halting all service east of Lake Merritt and to and from the South Bay.
