During the recent American Football Coaches Association convention, the Football Bowl Subdivision coaches unanimously supported a proposal that would reduce college football’s transfer windows down to a 10-day period in January.

On Monday, the transfer portal welcomed the oldest player in FBS football, East Carolina punter Luke Larsen. The 32-year-old played five seasons with the Pirates from 2020-24 and is now searching for his final landing spot, with one year of eligibility remaining.

Wisconsin football was busy during the winter transfer portal window. The program had 24 scholarship players enter the transfer portal. That list is highlighted by defensive linemen Curt Neal and James Thompson Jr., quarterbacks Tyler Van Dyke and Braedyn Locke and cornerbacks Xavier Lucas (although he technically never entered) and Amare Snowden.

By the time the portal window closed for the Badgers on Dec. 28, 23 scholarship players and two walk-ons entered the portal.

Texas State has added to their quarterback room with the addition of two transfers: Oregon State’s Gevani McCoy and Auburn’s Holden Geriner. Geriner, a former
