A small medical plane with six occupants, including a child patient ad her mother, crashed near Roosevelt Mall in Northeast Philadelphia shortly after takeoff on Friday night.

The Philadelphia crash was the second fatal incident in 15 months for Jet Rescue. In 2023 five crewmembers were killed when their plane overran a runway in the central Mexican state of Morelos and crashed into a hillside.

A medical transport jet carrying six people, including a child patient, crashed in Northeast Philadelphia shortly after taking off.
