Kawasaki and John Deere recall some lawnmowers
The companies announced the recall on Jan. 1 for John Deere ZTrak™ zero turn mowers with Kawasaki engines. “The voltage regulator in the mower’s engine can fail during use or while the product is being stored, causing the engine to overheat, posing fire and burn hazards,” Kawasaki announced.
Nearly 40,000 John Deere mowers recalled over engine fires
Kawasaki Motors has received five reports of fires and 26 reports of melting and/or smoking in connection to the mowers. No injuries have been reported.
