A man has been charged after a four-car crash on the M1 in Belfast on Thursday. Five people were taken to hospital following the collision, which happened at about 18:40 GMT. The man, aged 53, has been charged with causing death or grievous bodily injury by careless driving, and causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving.

Drivers are facing delays on a major Yorkshire road on their morning commute today. The M1 Southbound entry slip road is closed following a crash at Junction 38 for the A637 this morning. It was first reported at 8am and the latest update is that it is still closed.

There were delays on the M1 earlier this morning (Tuesday, January 21) after a crash involving two cars - one of which overturned - shut the northbound motorway. The crash happened at around 7am on the M1 between Lutterworth and Leicester - junctions 20 and 21.
