‘Road conditions will deteriorate through the day,’ National Weather Service says as storm moves in
Later this afternoon and evening are expected to bring the heaviest snowfall and the worst conditions on the roads across a big part of Michigan.
Snow arrived as expected Saturday throughout the morning and early afternoon, causing some roads to turn a bit slushy during the day.
Two winter systems are coming together across the northern U.S. this week, bringing heavy snow, strong winds, and even the possibility of rare thundersnow to the Upper Peninsula.
Michigan won't see a break from the wintry weather, as another storm is expected to develop dropping near 2 feet of snow this weekend. See forecast.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 2:36 p.m. EST on Tuesday valid from Wednesday 7 a.m. EST until Thursday 7 p.m. EST for Isabella, Montcalm, Ionia, Eaton and Jackson counties.
