Madness with the 68-team NCAA Tournament, but 148 teams will take part in women's postseason tournaments in 2025. Other events include the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) and the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT).

Madness will be in full swing soon and it all starts with Selection Sunday on March 16. The women's bracket will be revealed at 8 p.m. ET. Dawn Staley's South Carolina Gamecocks have won two of the last three NCAA Tournaments,

March Madness 2025 starts with the First Four, which is essentially a play-in round before the tournament. Eight teams battle for the final four slots in the tournament, whittling the field down from 68 teams to 64.
