Jasmine Viel reports from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, where thousands of people gathered on Wednesday. The Rose Parade and Rose Bowl game, both New Year's Day staples, were under much more intense scrutiny when it came to security in the wake of the deadly attack in New Orleans earlier in the day.

The CFP quarterfinal games predictably led the way in bowl attendance over the past few days, and the Rose Bowl surpassed all others with 90,732 fans.

Fans from Oregon and Ohio State are flocking to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl and parade, boosting the local economy.

An extra day has been added to Floatfest, where 39 floats displayed along two miles of Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards are up for viewing.
