SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — New details have emerged as the San Diego County Superior Court has issued an arrest warrant for Yolanda Marodi, the wife of Cal Fire Captain Rebecca Marodi, who was killed at her home on Feb. 17.

Authorities have released new information on the killing of Cal Fire Captain Rebecca Marodi last week as they continue to search for her suspected killer. Marodi, 49, was found stabbed to death at her Ramona home in San Diego County on Feb.

Authorities asked for help Monday to find an ex-con suspected of killing her wife, a veteran state firefighter, at the victim’s Ramona home — more than 20 years after pleading guilty in the slaying of her estranged husband.

Marodi was the primary caregiver of her 77-year-old mother, who lived with her in Ramona. Her sudden passing left her family facing immense grief and uncertainty, the Cal Fire San Diego Benevolent Fund stated. Rebecca Marodi, a Cal Fire captain stationed in Riverside County, was found stabbed to death inside of her own home in Ramona on Monday evening, authorities said.

Rebecca Marodi, 49, died after suffering several stab wounds last week. Investigators identified her wife as a suspect.
