Jupiter residents Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson received special invitations by the PGA of America to play in next week's PGA Championship.

After withdrawing from the WM Phoenix Open in February before the second round due to illness, and then failing to qualify for the Masters Tournament in April, fan-favorite golfer Rickie Fowler has been away from the spotlight on multiple occasions over the past few months.

Rickie Fowler, although originally not scheduled to play in the PGA Championship, appears to still have credits. Namely, the experienced golfer received an invitation at the last moment for the second majors this season, but fans are asking the question, how justified is such a decision by the PGA of America?
