Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez left Wednesday's game at the San Diego Padres in the sixth inning. Luis Torrens replaced him behind the dish in the frame's bottom half. Alvarez took a ball off the mask with an out and runner on first base in the bottom of the fifth inning.
