Pop diva Sabrina Carpenter lost out on Spotify’s top streaming spot for 2024 at the last minute by a razor thin margin. Her hit “Espresso” had been promoted in the platform’s Wrapped campaign at the beginning of December as the most-played tune of the year,

Spotify had earlier suggested that “Espresso” was the most-streamed song of 2024 in its annual Spotify Wrapped feature, which was based on streams through early December. Carpenter even remarked on the achievement on her Facebook page, thanking her fans for their support.
