The former staffers of the independent video-game publisher Annapurna Interactive, who resigned abruptly last summer following an acrimonious power struggle, will be taking over the portfolio of a past rival, which will be laying off some of its employees.

Take-Two Interactive said in November 2024 that it had sold Private Division, the "high-end indie" publishing label it launched in 2017, to an undisclosed buyer, along with "substantially all of Private Division’s live and unreleased titles.

In a rather unusual merging of two completely separate reported stories from last year, the former staff of Annapurna Interactive are seemingly preparing to take over the portfolio of shuttered indie label Private Division.
