U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy had a "very productive" meeting on Saturday in Rome, a White House official said, as both leaders attended the funeral of Pope Francis.

During his whirlwind trip to Italy, President Trump’s interactions with world leaders, as they paid their respects to Francis, were being watched closely.

Both will meet again in the Italian capital before returning to their respective countries. The U.S. President Donald Trump and the Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky have met at the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican minutes before the start of Pope Francis' funeral this Saturday.
