Washington is reportedly set to hire former USC All-American safety Taylor Mays as the school’s new safeties coach, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Mays has spent the last three years on staff at USC, first as a defensive analyst and then as an assistant defensive backs coach.

The UW Huskies are hiring Taylor Mays, a former star at Seattle’s O’Dea High School, as their safeties coach, according to multiple reports. Mays, a former All-American safety at USC, is set to replace Vinnie Sunseri, who left Montlake after one season to become the defensive coordinator at Jacksonville State.
