Ripple President Monica Long has stated that an XRP spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) is likely to be approved “very soon,” and is expected to be next in line after the recently approved Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) ETFs.

Ripple President Monica Long mentioned in a January 7 interview on Bloomberg TV that the crypto market might receive more crypto spot ETF approvals in 2025. Long suggested that President Donald Trump and his pro-crypto administration would introduce more crypto-friendly regulations to support ETFs sooner.

XRP outperformed Bitcoin over the past 24 hours as Ripple executives met with President-elect Donald Trump and shared ETF optimism.

We think, especially with the administration change, the approvals of those filings will accelerate,” Ripple president Monica Long said.

In a recent Bloomberg interview, Ripple president Monica Long reiterated that XRP ETF would be ‘the next in line’ after US spot BTC and ETH ETFs. “We’ll see more spot crypto ETFs this year from the US. I think XRP is likely to be the next in line after Bitcoin and ETH.”

The $XRP token climbed Wednesday night after Ripple's Brad Garlinghouse and Stuart Alderoty had dinner with President-elect Donald Trump and Bitstamp announced an $RLUSD listing.
