Federal authorities conducted raids on Nov. 15 in the banking hub of Charlotte, North Carolina, the Department of Homeland Security said.
US Border Patrol agents were spotted making multiple arrests in Charlotte during an operation targeting “violent criminal illegal aliens” in the Democratic-run city, a move widely condemned by local officials.
It is unclear how long the operation will last in North Carolina’s largest city, which has a growing immigrant population.
