Adrien Brody really ought to have thanked Halle Berry when he accepted his Best Actor Oscar on Sunday night. For 22 years now, she’s been publicly gracious about him forcing a kiss on her the last time he won an Oscar, and this year she went a step further by re-creating the kiss on the red carpet before the ceremony.

At the 2003 Oscars, Adrien Brody famously (and infamously) swept up presenter Halle Berry and gave her a kiss after winning the best actor award. Twenty-two years later, Berry returned the favor.
