Los Angeles County firefighters fought a blaze at a commercial building on the 2200 block of North Tyler Avenue in South El Monte on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 28, and nearby residents were advised to shelter in place for hours because of the hazardous conditions. The shelter in place advisory was eventually canceled around 10 p.m.
