At least there has been one team worth watching on Saturday besides Spartan Football. MSU hockey continues to roll as they complete a sweep over Notre Dame in South Bend. MSU won 4-1 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday to make their win streak hit 9 and 4-0 in B1G.

On Friday and Saturday, the Irish hockey team will take on Big Ten opponent and No. 1 team in the nation Michigan State at home. The puck drops at 7 p.m. for Friday’s matchup, and Saturday’s game starts at 6 p.m. in Compton Family Ice Arena for what is sure to be an electric series buzzing with the talent of the two teams.

The Spartans received all 50 first place votes to remain the No. 1 team in the country, with this being the first time all-season they were the unanimous top team. Behind the Spartans was rival Michigan at No. 2 in the rankings this week.
