The Raptors are on a tear, posting a 9-1 record in their last 10 games. Brandon Ingram is averaging 24.8 points and 6.8 rebounds across his last four games, while Scottie Barnes is racking up for 22.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game over that span.

The league on Tuesday officially announced its new format for the exhibition, which now features a round-robin tournament of three teams. Each team will have "a minimum of eight players." Once every team has played each other, the two teams with the best records will advance to a championship game.

Fans will still vote for the All-Star Game starters, but it will be positionless, and the players will land in an exciting new format.

In the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, two teams of U.S. players and one team of international players (known as the World team) will compete in a round-robin tournament featuring four 12-minute games. The three teams will each have a minimum of eight players.

Players, including Tyrese Haliburton, dislike the rule; the Indiana Pacers star called the threshold “stupid” after a Pacers practice in January 2024. A person familiar with the National Basketball Players Association’s (NBPA) plans will push to reduce the threshold in the next CBA, which will come after the 2029-30 season.
