SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — As Ocean County continues to dig out from 2 feet of snow delivered to the Shore, officials have decided to postpone the annual Special Olympics Seaside Heights Polar Bear Plunge.
The annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place in Seaside Heights on March 14 to raise funds for Special Olympics New Jersey. Last year's event raised $2.5 million with approximately 7,500 participants.
March's Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside Heights drew 7,000 participants into frigid waters, rallying community support for Special Olympics while colorful costumes brightened the chilly beach atmosphere.
