A warm front pushes through the area Sunday evening and overnight, helping to spark a few very isolated showers or storms. It’ll also keep us much warmer into Monday
Raleigh is waking to clear skies and cool air, about 45°F at Raleigh‑Durham International Airport, and will climb into the low 70s by this afternoon. Light northwest winds this morning will gradually turn and strengthen through the weekend as a stronger weather system moves in.
There were five reported tornadoes on Thursday in North Carolina.
Most of central North Carolina is under a dense fog warning through the morning. Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, and stretching all the way to High Point, Southern Pines and Oxford, are all under a dense fog alert until 11 a.m. on Monday, March 9.
