UK officials have blocked Tesla's full self-driving software rollout, severely limiting its functionality in the UK and across Europe in the latest swipe for Elon Musk. It comes after the Department for Transport warned that autonomous driving technology by the car brand would not be allowed in its entirety on UK roads.

Beginning Tuesday, rideshare hailers on Uber in Austin, Texas, can call a driverless Waymo, from Google’s parent company, Alphabet, for the first time. Travelers will be able to book rides across 37 square miles in Austin, the backyard of competitor Tesla, and in the Lone Star State that has long been a testing ground for driverless vehicles.

Tesla is offering free Supercharging to buyers of a $100,000 Cybertruck. The incentive is the latest attempt to increase sales, which have stagnated in recent years. The offer, however, has conditions.
