The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Nashville and 30 surrounding counties ahead of strong storms.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) for areas south of Interstate 40 and west of I-65.

A pickup truck pulling a flatbed trailer lost control while traveling on Blue Hole Road around 3:20 a.m. on Friday. Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the truck then took out a utility pole. The truck and trailer came to rest in the grassy area next to the soccer field and gymnasium.
