Jonas Vingegaard reclaimed the overall lead of the Vuelta a Espana on the fifth-stage team time-trial on Wednesday, while Team UAE riders Juan Ayuso and Joao Almeida climbed to second and third in the standings.

U AE Team Emirates-XRG powered to team time trial victory on stage five of the Vuelta a España, while Jonas Vingegaard moved back into the red jersey. The team of Juan Ayuso and João Almeida were the third-last to finish, and took Lidl-Trek out of the hot seat, after they had been there for a long time. UAE averaged 56.8km/h over the 24.1km course.

UAE Team Emirates-XRG won stage five of the Vuelta a Espana, a team time trial, while Visma-Lease a Bike came second which allowed Jonas Vingegaard to reclaim the red jersey from Groupama-FDJ's David Gaudu.
