Snow is falling across the Tri-State area on Sunday, and observations from the NWS are showing totals so far across NYC, Long Island, NJ and Connecticut.

Blizzard warnings are in effect for NYC, Long Island and coastal CT as a major winter storm is expected to bring 13–18 inches of snow and dangerous travel Sunday into Monday.

The timeframe the cold weather protocol will be active coincides with a winter weather advisory across northern Connecticut.

Connecticut’s protocol to help the state’s most vulnerable will go back into effect Thursday night.
