Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Cristian Romero has said he "would love" to play in La Liga one day amid growing speculation over his future.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero says he “would love” to play in La Liga. Romero will have two years remaining on his Tottenham contract at the end of this season, having signed a five-year deal in the summer of 2022 after he joined permanently from Atalanta.

Romero and his centre-half partner Micky van de Ven were both withdrawn at the interval against Forest with Spurs trailing 2-0 to early goals from Elliot Anderson and Chris Wood, with Postecoglou saying the changes were "pre-planned". Spurs rallied from 2-0 down and Richarlison halved the deficit with three minutes of the 90 remaining.
