The deadly incident occurred on the East Freeway near Dell Dale Street, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The crash happened around the 15000 block of I-10 East, in east Harris County, not far from the Channelview area. Authorities said the driver of the 18-wheeler fled the scene without stopping to help the victim.

A third bicyclist died Wednesday in less than 24 hours in Harris County after the cyclist was struck by an 18-wheeler, according to the sheriff's office. The crash happened at 15000 East Freeway in east Harris County, near Market and Dell Dale Streets, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on X.
