The Times of Israel on MSNHouthis fired ballistic missile with cluster bomb warhead at Israel for 1st time on Friday, air force probe finds
An Israeli Air Force investigation into Friday night’s ballistic missile attack from Yemen has found that for the first time, the Houthis used a projectile with a cluster bomb warhead. One of the munitions struck the yard of a home in the central town of Ginaton, causing slight damage.
“Unlike the American strikes, which targeted the Houthis, Israel has been demolishing critical civilian facilities. While the US raids destroyed Houthi arsenals, missile launchers and drones, Israel has bombed ports, power stations and cement factories,” Mussed told Middle East Eye.
The Houthis' use of cluster munitions in a ballistic missile attack was confirmed by the IDF on Sunday. It now appears that a Houthi ballistic missile launched against Israel on Friday contained cluster munitions.
Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis said on Monday they had rescued 10 seafarers from the Greek-operated cargo ship Eternity C, which they attacked and sank in the Red Sea earlier this month.
Israels Defence Minister Israel Katz on Sunday declared, For every missile they launch at Israel, the Houthis [in Yemen] will pay with compound interest.
The main message of the Houthi video is that they are not deterred. Israel has carried out several rounds of attacks on the Houthis, but this has apparently not stopped the attacks.
