A Cathay Pacific flight was forced to turn around shortly after takeoff from Boston, Massachusetts following reports of smoke in the cabin and cockpit.

A flight from Boston to Hong Kong returned to Boston Logan International Airport early Monday morning after a report of smoke in the cockpit and the cabin. Cathay Pacific said in a statement that flight CX811 from Boston to Hong Kong “made a precautionary flight return” to Logan “in accordance with standard procedures” after the report of smoke in the cockpit and cabin shortly after takeoff.
