A woman was fatally struck by a New Jersey Transit train in Bergen County early Wednesday near the border of East Rutherford and Carlstadt, authorities said. Port Jervis Line Train 41, which had departed Hoboken at 12:39 a.m., struck the woman around 1 a.m., according to an NJ Transit spokesperson.
