A Princess Cruises ship has been hit hard by a norovirus outbreak. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported the highly infectious form of gastroenteritis is sickening passengers on the Coral Princess voyage on Friday, March 7. Of the 1,906 passengers on board, 69 were reported ill alongside 13 of the ship's 895 crew members.

The 19-year-old ship began to lean, pitching on a 14-degree angle as tables, chairs and store items were flew around the interior rooms.

The highly contagious disease has spread to at least 82 people on board, including crew on the Princess Cruises liner which was on a one-way voyage from California to Florida

Midship cabins on lower decks are ideal for people who may experience seasickness since the ship’s motion is felt the least in this more stable, central area. Passengers staying in forward staterooms, those at the front of the ship, and aft staterooms, those at the back of the ship, will feel more of the ship’s sway.
