Ange Postecoglou says Micky van de Ven could return for Tottenham in Thursday’s Europa League tie against Elfsborg, while James Maddison is expected to be sidelined for between two and three with a calf injury.

Richarlison has only just returned from injury and gave the Spurs the lead on Sunday. Still, the Brazilian was subbed off for Spurs early in the second-half, a decision to have been met by a smattering of boos from the home support. After the game, Postecoglou confirmed the decision was made due to a groin injury.

Tottenham continue to limp through the season with a lengthy injury list as they host Swedish club Elfsborg in the final league phase match of the Europa League.

Micky van de Ven tonight starts for Tottenham against Elfsborg in the Europa League. Brandon Austin will again deputise for Kinsky in goal and, if Van de Ven is on the bench, manager Ange Postecoglou's back four picks itself.
