After joining Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks, goaltender Spencer Knight has found out who will take up his spot in his former team, as the Florida Panthers confirmed a big trade in the NHL.

The Panthers took another big swing, this time trading for Seth Jones and sending backup Spencer Knight and a first-round pick to the Blackhawks, who retained a portion of Jones' $9.5-millino cap hit.

Then, four nights after the Jones deal, the Panthers made a trade with the San Jose Sharks for goaltender Vitek Vanecek in exchange for forward Patrick Giles. By Thursday morning, Vanecek was on the ice with the Panthers in South Florida and Driedger was heading back to Charlotte.
