Once again, the Kraken responded quickly, with defenseman Jamie Oleksiak pinching down from the offensive blue line to bury a one-timer just 56 seconds after Thompson had scored the tying goal.

Instant chemistry between Kaapo Kakko and Matty Beniers has generated some cautious optimism for the Kraken, with both enjoying productive stretches.

Seattle has a 7-1 record all-time against the Sabres and has outscored them, 40-24. And remember, this is a fourth-year franchise that has only made the playoffs once and isn't likely to get there this year either.

The Kraken scored within a minute of Buffalo scoring as Seattle beat the Sabres 6-4 for their third victory in the past four games.

Dylan DeMelo scored with 27 seconds left to play to give the Winnipeg Jets a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken.
