Long-time Phoenix Mercury star will start a new chapter of her career in the WNBA with another team after a wild free agency decision.

In a stunning move, star free agent center Brittney Griner has agreed to a one-year deal with the Atlanta Dream, sources told ESPN.

Griner has spent her entire career with the Mercury, since her start in the WNBA in 2013. She is one of several WNBA free agents — including another Phoenix standout, Diana Taur

Amid news of her move, Griner took to Instagram to make her first post about her free agency decision. She shared a clip of herself riding a boat alongside her new teammates, Jordin Canada, Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray.

Griner is the latest big name to move during the WNBA’s offseason, as she’ll leave the Mercury and head to Atlanta.

Brittney Griner has decided to leave the Phoenix Mercury and join the Atlanta Dream in free agency. The Team USA star confirmed her decision in a post on social media. There had been doubts about Griner's future with the Mercury after she became an unrestricted free agent and expressed her desire to test the market.
