Pavel Buchnevich has looked like himself recently and entered Saturday with one goal and seven assists in the last five games.

The Blues have one game left before the trade deadline and are in a precarious position after a recent run put them in playoff contention.

Buchnevich notched a power-play assist in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Kings. Buchnevich's six-game point streak ended Sunday in Dallas, but he was right back on the scoresheet Wednesday when he set up a Robert Thomas tally late in the second period.

Thomas, who now has an 11-game poiint streak (five goals, 10 assists) won the shootout in the third round. This, on the heels of the Blues downing the Kings 4-1 at home on Saturday; they will play in L.A. again on Saturday.
