An arrest was made for the shooting of a U.S. Border Patrol agent shot during a traffic stop in Vermont, according to the FBI.

Vermont State Police said they have found the driver responsible for hitting a child with his vehicle over the weekend. The Westminster barracks said 61-year-old David Knapp of Vernon was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Accent that hit a student who was getting off of a school bus on Friday in Vernon.

A woman from Washington state has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Vermont.

A Burlington woman was seriously injured on Monday night after she crashed her vehicle on Interstate 89, according to police. Vermont State Police said the crash happened on I-89 North in Milton just before 7:30 p.m.
