Former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i’s ability to endear himself to Mt Kenya region has been called into question after some Jubilee leaders accused him of being held hostage by Rigathi Gachagua.

Gachagua accused Kindiki of occupying the Deputy President’s office illegitimately, saying he could not respect him because he had “stolen” the position.
