An updated weather alert was issued by the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC on Monday at 4:51 a.m. for strong thunderstorms until 5:15 a.m. The alert is for Greater Rutherford, Polk Mountains and Eastern Polk as well as Henderson County.
A very strong wind field will support a significant threat for severe weather today. Showers and storms will likely develop in waves, but any storm Monday will have the possibility of turning severe.
