All-Star third baseman Rafael Devers was traded to the Giants from the Red Sox Sunday night in a stunning deal that will see San Francisco take on on all the remaining money on Devers' 10-year, $313.5 million deal that started last season.

Devers was frustrated with Red Sox management for taking away his position at third base, then asking him to play first after an injury to Triston Casas.

Rafael Devers was not pleased with the Boston Red Sox when they asked him to move to designated hitter after acquiring third baseman Alex Bregman in the offseason, and he flat-out refused to play at first base for the team.
