State lawmakers send Karina's Bill addressing domestic violence to Gov. Pritzker's desk
Karina's Bill passed the Illinois House by a 80-33 vote. It would require police to confiscate guns within 96 hours from people whose firearm owners ID cards have been revoked due to emergency restraining orders.
The boyfriend was released from custody days after the shooting, but a warrant was later issued, Illinois police said.
