The Boston Red Sox trading Jarren Duran seems unlikely, but if they do, they might have to get creative to get back what they need.

With Duran, Roman Anthony, Ceddanne Rafaela, Wilyer Abreu, Rob Refsnyder, and Masataka Yoshida, the Red Sox have a surplus of major league outfielders, but that logjam has been temporarily alleviated by Rafaela’s move to the infield following an injury to Marcelo Mayer.

Jarren Duran is expected to remain with the Boston Red Sox through Thursday's MLB trade deadline. Boston is no longer entertaining a trade for the speedy outfielder, according to a report by WEEI's Rob Bradford on Monday.
