Another Arctic blast is on the move toward the U.S., bringing the potential for bitter cold and heavy snow accumulations to Kentucky.
It’s Thanksgiving week, one of the busiest travel times of the year. Weather forecasters said that a series of storms sweeping across the country may disrupt travel plans, with heavy rain and mountain snow expected in the days before the holiday.
After a gloomy Sunday, colder air brings scattered snow showers and plunging temperatures — with the coldest air of the season arriving Monday and Tuesday mornings.
The Metro's snow map has also been expanded to cover 2,700 miles over 111 routes, but that doesn't mean every street will be handled the same way.
