The World Economic Forum’s president says U.S. President Donald Trump will take part virtually in the annual meeting in Davos just days after his inauguration.

The 2025 Annual Meeting of The World Economic Forum is scheduled to take place at Davos-Klosters from January 20 to 24, 2025. This gathering will bring together approximately 3,000 leaders from more than 130 countries, highlighting the importance of open dialogue during these uncertain times.

Several thousand soldiers have been deployed in the Swiss ski resort of Davos a week before the start of the meeting of the World Economic Forum that brings world leaders, business execs and campaigners to the Alpine nation each year.

Trump will return to the White House on Jan 20, with his inauguration coinciding with the start of the 55th annual meeting of political and business leaders in the Swiss resort. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will make a special address and take questions, the WEF said.

According to Swiss broadcaster SRF, Brende said that delegations from more than 130 countries, including over 60 heads of state and government, as well as more than 1,600 business representatives, are expected at the event.
