Responding officers found a 12-year-old boy had been shot in the side of his body when they arrived.

A witness who recorded video of the chaos said the incident started as a fight. The officer was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The 26-year-old officer was shot after police say a bullet fired during a fight ricocheted off the ground and hit him in the stomach.
