Scottsdale Christian Academy defeated St. Johns 27-22 in the 2A football state championship. Senior Everett Salazar scored three touchdowns for Scottsdale Christian, while senior quarterback Sean Helgeson was named game MVP.

Cass Tech and Detroit Catholic Central entered the postseason as the top two teams in the final MLive Top 25 as well as No. 1 and No. 2 in the final Division 1 AP rankings. Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 30 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
